The Mon River Fleet of State Health Improvement Plan PartnerSHIPS located in McKeesport, Duquesne, Braddock, Hazelwood, and Clairton have adopted the following GOALS: |

» It is the Fleet's GOAL to help inspire and create healthier communities in the SHIP catchment areas of McKeesport, Duquesne, Braddock, Hazelwood, Clairton, and surrounding communities;
» It is the Fleet's GOAL to increase the grant procurement and political visibility for our communities through grant proposal collaborations and political advocacy initiatives; and,
» It is the Fleet's GOAL to reduce redundancies and inefficiencies through collaboration and centralization. |

The Mon River Fleet's PartnerSHIP Mission is to increase quality and years of healthy living for all concerned in the Mon Valley through its ongoing focus on prevention and intervention of new and enhancement of existing programs that address the health, educational, social, spiritual, recreational, and safety and security needs of the McKeesport, Duquesne, Braddock, Hazelwood, and Clairton Communities. The Fleet focuses on the PA State Health Improvement Planning model with emphasis on Healthy People 2010 Goals in the prevention of disease and disability and the coordination and cooperation of interagency resources to respond to community health planning priorities.
